My mom went there for rehab after being released from the hospital, they knew she was a fall risk and was placed in a room across from the nurses station. She pushed her call button several times she needed to go to the bathroom after then not answering she tried to make it herself and fell at this point she was rated at 70% for rehab. she Laid there on the floor for 45 minutes, the nurse that found her appologized saying they were in the middle of a shift change. Mom has a big knot on her head, they made her stay awake for a while but should have been sent to the ER for a cat scan, her head, eye, arm and neck is black and blue. Two days later they said her insurance ran out and we had until 7pm to take her home or pay out of pocket approximately 1,400.00 a day while we tried to get the insurance to pick up for longer. We had no choice but to take her home. And Noone even acknowledge the fact that we came and took her h home. Your suppose to sign in and out when you visit, the receptionist never spoke but instead have nasty looks, just mean mugging us. How hard is it to say hello, would you mind signing in. With this attitude myself and family completely bypassed her everytime., she didn't even speak when we wheeled mom out. Other residents were left sitting in the hallways alone. After mom got home slid off the bed 3 time, she literally wasn't sleeping the pain was so bad, she would go from her chair to her bed 2ft. A away every 2 - 5 minutes, we treated her and took the best care we could after 9 days of this and her doctor refusing to see her until she got a cat scan. I had to take her back to the ER she was admitted today is day 7 and now they say she needs rehab again, and the doctors are saying possible dementia.. wait, what she had her faculties prior to that fall. The EMT called this place a stock yard, they only care about the money in my opinion. I would never take anyone i care about to this facility. The staff maybe should remember they wanted this career to help people and have some professional compassion instead of being neglectful and uncaring.
