Alta Rehab at Fairmont

My son was there in 2021 for a upper knee emputee and after 3 weeks I took him out. This place was horrible. They never clean him right and left him soil in poop. I took him out and brought him home. I don't recommend this place AT ALL.

The staff was very welcoming, I would highly recommend this facility!

My mom is a current resident at this facility. She has been there since December 2024. They have the worst Nurses and cnas. The 11-7am shift is horrible. I have called the police 3 times to file a police report for senior abuse and I have called the state board 9 times since my mom has been there. Yesterday I was visiting my mom. 2 roaches were in her room. The mice are still running around. At 2:00 am this morning my mom called me she was in severe pain and she needed a pain pill. Her CNA was wondering finally. The CNA went to get my mom's nurse but he was on lunch his name was Muhammad. He is a good nurse. When the CNA realized he wasn't around. They said he was on lunch. So the CNA asked Joyce E. The nurses supervisor for the pain and to help her reposition my mom. Joyce E the nurses supervisor said she didn't have time. My mom was screaming from the pain her roommate is her witness. The CNA finally found someone to give my mom the pain pill and 2 other CNA'S to assist her. The lazy and uncaring nurses and CNA'S all work here. This is the worst nursing home EVER! The administration here obviously doesn't care are the residents. Unbelievable. This morning I will be calling the state board again. I will be reporting Joyce E for medical neglect. It's a few good nurses and CNA'S. But the 11-7am shift DO NOT WANT TO WORK. They want to sleep. Be on their phone. Smoke marijuana. When I am visiting some of them smell of marijuana. I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone not even a dog. I don't understand why they are still open. They just changed administrator recently. Jennifer is the assistant administrator. I am waiting on her to return my call this morning regarding this matter. Let's see how long it takes for her to call back. This place acts like our loved ones are a burden on them. Most of the CNA'S take this job because of the pay. They don't care one bit about the seniors there. Yesterday the facility had no clean towels. No clean pillow cases and a few clean sheets. So did the wash people up with dirty towels. I told them NOT to bathe mom. I will bring towels home from this day forth. This falls on management. Once they forgot to order my mom's insulin. They ran out she couldn't take her insulin for 2 days. I admitted her in the hospital for those 2 days. Unprofessional how can you run out of a residence insulin. Again management. My mom has a colosmy bag. 3 times they ran out of her bags. HOW? again management. It's on a handful of nurses and CNA'S that know how to empty and change my mom's colosmy bag. These are medical people. Unbelievable. My 8 year old niece was taught to empty and change my mom's bag. A child. Yesterday the CNA said she was trained on how to empty and change the colosmy bag. Every nurse and CNA should know how to do this. It's plenty residents that have colosmy bags. 2 days ago they ran out of sugar. They brought coffee on the food trays with no sugar again Management. The kitchen supervisor has the WORST attitude. Instead of her having an attitude she needs to make sure her meats are fully done. Every day the food is cold when they bring it to the rooms. I know because I get a guest tray when I visit my mom. The meat yesterday was hard as a rock and dry as the desert. They need better administration and better nurses and CNA'S. They have 4 good nurses. Janet. Sabrina. Karen and Rick. They are wonderful and caring. Unfortunately they are at a facility that Sucks!!!! Still waiting on the new assistant administrator to return my call. Her name is Jennifer. If you are looking for a nursing home. Please advoid this facility.
