The care my mom receives at Arbor Terrace in Acworth (Memory Care side) is beyond what I ever expected. I feel that they truly love her and she loves them. The staff have become our extended family. The memory care director, Sharon Durr is exceptional. I can’t say enough. We love them!!

My parents lived in Dogwood Forest for 3 1/2 years before it was sold to Arbor Terrace, and the entire facility became unbearable. Staff members started disappearing, the level of care evaporated, and the price increased dramatically. I found employees crying in the hallways (“Management is so mean”) The food is awful, laundry service is bad (I was taking their laundry home), the rooms are never cleaned (I cleaned the apartment myself). My Mom repeatedly hit her call button with no response - when she or my Dad would fall. They would call me at 2am and I would come over to help. I could find NO ONE in the facility - not a single employee to be seen. When the Director insisted on bringing in doctors of her choosing, and charging “technology fees”, I questioned why I could not keep my doctor. I moved my parents to a different facility, where we found caring staff, positive management and home cooked food (for $3,000 less monthly). Arbor Terrace is beautifully decorated, and everyone appears to be so nice… until you move in. I would not place anyone I love in this horrid facility..
