Hi…I’ve been lucky to find Avita. I’ve been a volunteer there for about 11 months. I walked in right off the street and they gave me an opportunity to make a difference right away. I am a companion for a few male residents where I spend time with them, take them to activities and take them to meals. Even though it is scary and/or sad sometimes, the place itself and the aides, nurses, receptionists and directors (hope I didn’t forget anyone) are all first class. The place is clean, well maintained and someplace where if you had to put your loved one there, you would be proud and comfortable. Having taken my companions to MANY meals, the food looks awesome too! I have found my time there to be rewarding and I’m forever grateful. I hope to make many more positive contributions in the future ❤️
