My mom loves it there. The staff is friendly and reliable. So glad we got her in there.

Our experience here was deeply distressing, particularly for my mother. She began on the independent living side, where things were acceptable until she suffered a stroke. During a visit, my wife and I heard her calling for help. We found her unable to move and soiled, clearly in need of immediate assistance. When my wife sought help from staff, she was told that, because my mother was on the independent side, no assistance was available—despite the presence of pull cords in the room, which gave the impression some level of emergency response would be provided. After that incident, we moved her to the assisted living side, expecting better care. Unfortunately, the situation worsened. Personal items were stolen on two occasions, she was repeatedly denied access to water and assistance with the bathroom—both incidents documented on camera—and she was left on the toilet for extended periods. She experienced multiple drops during transfers, including three in a single week. The final drop shattered her ankle in three places. Following these incidents, her palliative care costs increased by nearly $2,000 a month, yet there was no noticeable improvement in her care. She was told to relieve herself in her Depends in bed, rather than being assisted to the bathroom or using a bedpan. Further after returning from the hospital with a broken ankle, she was not visited by the house nurse for 6 days! While a few caregivers were kind and compassionate, the overall environment severely compromised her dignity and well-being. Based on our experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend this facility for any loved one needing ongoing care.

I just wanted to pass along a short note on my visit to see my brother-in-law who recently moved into Bonaventure of Tri-Cities. When his son told me they were moving him to an assisted living home I was worried, he has always been very independent. When I got there I found my worries were unwarranted. I was really impressed with everything I saw in the four days that I was with him. All of the staff were so kind and helping to all of the residents and guests. They all seemed to know each resident by name and knew their routine. Every afternoon we would go and play pool with six or seven other residents and staff. Really enjoyed Juan, head cook, what a great guy and very good chief. Your newest employee, Emma who joined us playing pool on her first day at work and Mr. Doug the van driver. In my working life I hired and supervised my employees. My hats off to whoever does your hiring. Anyway, thank you to all of the staff and people who make this a wonderful place for our family and friends to live.
