I am thrilled to write this letter of recommendation for anyone seeking an exceptional memorial care facility to refer a loved one. My mom, at 98 years young, requires memory care assistance due to dementia. After conducting extensive research, we made the enlightened decision to admit her to Bridges by Epoch in Westwood, Mass, and we are overjoyed with the outcome. The caliber of care my mom receives is truly outstanding. It is evident that the staff genuinely care for the residents, treating them with dignity, respect, and compassion, more like family than residents. The facility itself is immaculate and elegantly decorated, akin to a luxurious hotel. Among the numerous memory facilities we toured, this one shone brightly above the rest. A diverse range of activities are offered, catering to various needs and interests. My mom is beaming with happiness, able to cherish every moment she has left. When I am not present, I am completely at peace, knowing her care and safety are in capable hands. I wholeheartedly recommend The Bridges of Epoch in Westwood, a true haven of exceptional care and compassion. Dianne Klayman

We moved my mother out of this facility one year ago. I have been trying to write a review and I still cannot because it is too disturbing for me to relive the experience. Maybe someday I will be able to. But for now, I will just say that unless the leadership team is replaced and a significant change is made to the care staff, hiring practices, training and overall culture within the facility, I would not recommend this facility.

My father was moved to Bridges by EPOCH in July of 2025. He had had a fairly rapid decline in his dementia and we needed a program that was welcoming and well suited to provide the care he needed. It was a very stressful time and I needed to feel comfortable that the memory care unit he moved to could meet my family and my father where we were and provide the support that we all needed. I remain amazed at the kindness and compassion that was shown to us. I was struck by the human connection that every person we encountered had as their mantra. No ask was too big. Coming from an assisted living situation that had fallen short, I was most concerned about what decision we would make for the next step in this journey. I went with my gut feeling and was not wrong. From the initial meeting with the sales team to the nursing assessment, from the move in day to the day we sadly had to move out my father’s things when he passed away from his dementia, I felt supported and reassured that we had made the right decision about his care. Bridges by Epoch is a beacon of care in the often confusing landscape of dementia memory care programs.
