I was transferred from fanny Allan acute rehab. To Burlington health. For 7 days all I can say PT AND OT really worked me. Food is not and nursing staff rocked. Lots of team work. Let's put it this way, came in a wheelchair and going out walking.

Please do not leave your family members here. My dad went there for less than 48 hours and was left to die. He was placed at the foot of another person's bed with no room to even sit with him. So, to say they had space for him to rehab was disgusting and when I went to visit the room was so hot (in the middle of a very hot summer day) and uncomfortable. His advanced directive was "full" code, and they did nothing to support this. In other words, they did not care for him or even know he passed until it was too late to perform any lifesaving intervention. Nobody deserves this treatment!

It is not a pleasant to have to review a rehab and care center with these complaints. My Mom is now 96 years old and has been at this facility for over 3 years. This center has changed its name at least 3 times during my mom’s stay. The treatment and conditions of this facility are totally unacceptable as the complaints mount . I visited my mother every day and experienced and saw things I probably shouldn’t mention. My mother deserved to be treaded with dignity and respect as everyone should. This review is to call them out on the treatment and conditions in this facility , which are to many to mention. I would never trust this facility with another loved one again. The amount of money this facility get is outrageous for the care given. This information is kept a secret and they don’t want you to know. The Toiletry treatment is outrageously lacking. The food is at times served cold and poorly prepared and unhealthy. Most of the time the odors walking down the hallway were awful due to poor hygiene issues. This facility has been called out by me for many complaints with the State of Vermont, and other state agencies. My mother was taken to hospital in intensive care due to unattended medical issues , or ignored, in my opinion . I kept bringing issues to the attention of the care takers with no avail. She was brought that evening to intensive care at the medical center. My mom now is now at a respite facility where she is cared for and treated with respect. Hopefully this review will improve the care for the elderly at this facility.
