Capitol Hill Assisted Living & Memory Care

I am so pleased with Capitol Hill Senior Living. My dad is living there and has been receiving wonderful and personalized care. The entire staff is aware of his needs and involved in his care. We appreciate the individualized attention, safe environment and quick responses whenever we have a question. A big thank you to Rodney, Britanee, Roxy and Dr Holland for putting a smile on my dad's face.

If you looking for an assisted living facility for you or for a loved one Capitol Hill Assisted Living is where you're going to want to be. My experience with them is a little bit different than others because my circumstances were a little bit different to say the least. On April 15th of this year my 11-year-old son was hit by a vehicle who ran a red light while he was in the crosswalk walking his scooter across the street to meet his friend the damage to his brain was very severe and he was life flighted to Primary Children's Hospital which was far away from where we live. His injuries were so severe that they did not know if he was going to survive or not and it was imperative for us to be able to be with our son at all times or at least close by the hospital in case we needed to get there quickly. We did not qualify for the Ronald McDonald house because we did not live far enough away from the hospital to qualify for that help so we were in a bad spot we didn't have funds readily available to rent an apartment quickly and hotel stays we're getting very expensive but very fast so I reached out on Facebook asking if there was anybody that knew of an apartment we could rent that would be close to the hospital but not extremely expensive which I knew when I reached out that it was a long shot but I was desperate and needing to figure out a solution. A couple of days had gone by and I was starting to get discouraged when all of a sudden this sweet beautiful lady reached out to me and with the help of herself and her superiors offered us a life-changing experience and solution. " it's probably not what you were looking for and it won't be anything fancy but it will be a place for you to be able to rest and shower and be close to the hospital for your son" were the words she said. Little did she know that that statement would be forever remembered for the rest of my life. Suddenly I had hope again. And given the circumstances hope is all that we had to cling to. Is she then introduced herself and explained that she worked at an assisted living facility that just so happened to be remodeling the fourth floor. None of the rooms on the 4th floor were occupied due to the remodeling and so she had spoken to her superiors and the director and they offered us a room to stay in on the 4th floor where we had everything and anything we needed. This unbelievable Act of kindness from strangers that did not know us and did not expect or ask anything in return is not found very often at least not in this day and age anymore. There was nothing to think about this was exactly what we needed and so I immediately said yes. She then told me that she and her partner and his son were going to get a room ready for us over the weekend and that we would be able to come and go as we please for as long as we needed to so that we could be close to our son. The facility is actually about 5 minutes away from the hospital it was absolutely perfect and I almost could not believe it was true but it was. If I were looking for a place for myself or for a loved one I would most definitely want to choose Capitol Hill Assisted Living because I would want to surround myself or my loved one with people that care about other people the kind of people that offer a room for a family that was broken hearted and devastated and give them an option to be close to their son who was in a dire situation once again wanted nothing in return expected nothing in return and refused to take anything in return. It is not often that you find people that genuinely just want to help other people and love people that they don't even know. If you are blessed and you do get to meet people like that those are the type of people that you want in your life and those are the type of people that you would trust with elderly loved ones because I promise you they would love your loved ones probably pretty close to as much as you do I have seen how they interact with the residents here and it is not an act. The staff here is amazing and I would trust them with my loved ones

This is the place you want your loved one! I’ve witnessed first hand a huge transformation over the past year. The care being provided at Capitol Hill has improved tremendously. The Director, Rodney, cares deeply about the residents and staff. The Nurse, Brittany, is one of the kindest, loving people you’ll ever meet. The building is beautiful! And they even hold sacrament meeting on the 4th floor every Sunday. What a beautiful view they have up there! Do your mom or dad a favor and go check this place out. You won’t be disappointed!
