The Center at Cordera was recommended for my mom's rehab after she fractured her hip and had surgery. The ambulance took her and no one greeted us at the door. We arrived with the ambulance staff and my mom and there was no one at the reception desk, no one anywhere as I looked up and down the halls, in rooms for someone with a pulse. The ambulance crew suggested we go to the 2nd floor, so we did. A staff member that was leaving was on the elevator. She suggested 2nd floor. We got to 2nd floor and no one there to greet us. There was no one at the nurses station. I went up and down the halls and finally found someone in a uniform and he didn't know my mother was to be admitted and didn't know what room or even what floor she was assigned. That got worked out after 20 minutes. My mom was to receive Physical therapy. She would receive meals on a tray but the trays were not set up for her to reach them. (She's 91). So she would go without her meals. My sister went to her room yesterday during lunch time and her lunch tray was set to the side, not set up in front of her, and she was till in bed. She asked mom if she had breakfast and she said no, the tray was not set up for her to reach and it went untouched. The staff took the tray out untouched. She went to the nurse and asked my mom was not in a chair and her food placed in front of her to reach. No one had an answer. No one had an answer as to why she had no breakfast and why the trays are not set up for her to reach. Mom lost 15 lbs since her admission, which was a little more than a month ago. The staff wheeled her in a wheelchair earlier that week without the foot peddles and banged her feet up and her one toe is painful and black and blue. She is not showered properly, given "bed baths" and my sister found her with the same nightgown she put on her 3 days ago, full of food. We'd had several meetings with the staff and administrator to no avail. All that we agree on for her care, none of it is carried out. They agree to a specific care plan, but fail to implement it properly. Mom told us the night staff are very noisy. She said there is so much ruckus, she cannot sleep at night and she watches them "partying" in the hall. If I could click a ZERO star I would. 1 star is too good for this place. Please do not place your family members in this facility, especially if your family member is at an advanced age like my mother.

Very neglectful!! Letting people sit in their own filth for hours, multiple times! Having to pull our loved one from this facility after two days due to the negligence! Rude nurses, no one seemed to know where things were. Extremely understaffed and unprofessional!

My mom received the best care and treatment here!!! She's been in a couple of other rehab hospitals one she now refuses to go to and the other was her first choice. Now her first and only choice is the Center At Cordera. Thank you for taking such good care of my mom. Michele Spuelman daughter of Kay James.
