I waited a month after entrusting my Dad to Chelsea Place before writing this review. I have spent hours with him in his room, the dining room, and the community room. I am amazed at the sincere interest of the caregivers and administrators, and very grateful I found this place. In the dining room I saw two absolutely incredible women, Viviane and Tegest, exercising seemingly endless patience and compassion, ensuring that every resident eats, even though some habitually resist and try to leave. (The food is excellent.) Viviane and Tegest are the people I would want to care for me if I needed memory care. Such love! I deeply appreciate the dedication of caretakers Sierra, Briauna, Kelsea, Barbara, Jess, Caesar, Stephanie, Mazzy, Chaun, April, Aynalem Gosh, and Emily, who cheerfully perform impossible multi-tasking to care for everyone. I very much like that the staff are always present, wearing walkie talkies to stay in constant contact. Ashley, the nurse, works tirelessly to care for the residents, and it's a heavy load. Kris, the other nurse, came back to work after her own knee surgery and before she could even stand. Molly, the life enrichment specialist always brings a smile, a welcome, and an engaging activity, providing everyone "a reason to get up in the morning." Denise and Mona at the front desk are always busy, lending a hand wherever they can. Prairie, at the front desk on weekends, brings in gourmet cookies that she buys with her own money and gives away with a beaming smile. April was very helpful through the process of selecting a room, and even held a specific one a few days because I was certain my Dad would enjoy it. (He does.) Maggie hires these wonderful people, and finally, Iva Prinsen, the director, pulls it all together and keeps it working. Iva wisely told me "It's never going to be perfect," and it's so true. However, I know my Dad receives better care than I could provide by myself, and whenever I've brought a need to her attention, she has responded promptly. Something that touched my heart was overhearing conversation between two caregivers in the dining room. They were discussing the pain they felt from watching a resident suffer. They did everything in their power to relieve the suffering, and then were verbally abused by the patients' family, which hurt even more. Yet there they were, as usual, patiently caring for those who can't care for themselves. These people are here because they want to help!

Chelsea Place has been absolutely amazing! I was looking at moving my mom here last October but picked a smaller house setting. Needless to say the house setting could not handle my active mother with Alzheimer's. I moved my mom in July of 2025 and I have absolutely no regrets. The staff Iva, Ashley and both April's , Mona, Molly... etc. I could name everyone...they are what makes Chelsea Place the best. Everyone truly cares about the residents. My mom has had to have a few emergency visits and the communication has been on point with that as well. The events they do keep the residents active and as engaged as possible. The times I come in when there is a meal being served it smells great and looks great! I have no complaints and I regret not moving my mom here from the start. Don't second guess you're choice to move your family member here.

If we needed to find the best people for my sister-in-law to be cared for today, it would still be Chelsea Place. This has become our home with her and the staff are dedicated, caring, helpful, and family. Activities are full of fun for all who participate, including us, the family of residents. Therapy Horses, the zoo, parks, and tea parties on the patio. Also, the French pastry party, peach days, and on and on parties… The chef, Elena, is amazing and was a pastry chef so the food is fabulous! The caregivers are loved by the residents and us. That speaks volumes in a world of needed safe places. I guess this says how I feel and if you want to ask any questions I would be happy to answer. In closing, I want to recognize those who shine brightest at Chelsea Place: Lexi the therapy dog, Mona and Prairie the receptionists, Iva, the Director, Molly, Activity Coordinator, Maggie, HR, Elena, Channel, Mauzy, Seirra, Kelsey, Caesar, TG, Jessica, Viviana, Nancy, and Pamela are the guardians of the residents' daily needs.
