Lar
Although the hospital’s outward appearance and some of its publicly available reviews—often centered on financial concerns—may not convey the most favorable impression, the quality of medical care provided is outstanding. The healthcare professionals demonstrate exceptional skill, dedication, and attentiveness, ensuring that patients receive exemplary treatment regardless of the hospital’s broader reputation. Thank you to the ER nurses, CNAs, 3 south nurses (Abbie, May) and CNAs (Mandy, Michelle) for taking care of me for a short time. Thank you to the transporter, Daniel. Nuclear Tech ( Mani), cardiology team( Jaclyn & Mary). And mostly, much thanks to Drs. Shah & Malapati. The Portage Park community needs this hospital more than ever.

I had bariatric surgery through New Hope Weight Loss Center. A very helpful program that walked me through every step of the way. All of the staff were great and took good care of me. The hospital nurses and staff were kind, attentive, and tended to all of my needs. It’s hard to believe how much staff is needed for one surgery patient. Highly recommend New Hope if you need bariatric surgery.

Value Consideration
With monthly costs ranging from $6,000 to $9,000, Community First Medical Center sits at the higher end for skilled nursing, but offers the added value of a full-service hospital with advanced diagnostics, rehabilitation, and 24/7 medical oversight[6]. Families should weigh the breadth of services and level of care against the price, especially if specialized medical needs are a priority.
