The staff at Dirigo Pines are consistently helpful and go out of their way handle problems that arrive. They are also open to suggestions we propose for additional projects or changes. It makes me feel comfortable living here.

My stepmother has resided at Dirigo Pines for the past four years, beginning in Independent Living and now in the memory care Arbor Unit. Throughout her time there, she has received wonderful, high-quality care that has made her life as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. One of the most important aspects of her care has been the low staff turnover. This consistency has allowed both my stepmother and the staff to genuinely know and trust each other, which has greatly contributed to the quality of care she receives. The compassionate and professional attention she receives brings our family peace of mind, knowing she is being cared for in such a supportive and respectful environment. The social activities provided are appropriate and have brought her much joy. Additionally, medical support is excellent—her primary care provider visits Dirigo Pines weekly, which makes accessing medical care simple and seamless. Based on our experience over the past four years, I would gladly choose and recommend Dirigo Pines again.

I helped my parents move into Dirigo Pines in November 2021. My dad passed away soon after, but my mom continued to live happily at Dirigo Pines until she died in July 2025. From the beginning, I was impressed by the caring professionalism of all the staff members, from the executive director to the servers in the dining room. Every single person at Dirigo Pines interacted with my mom and dad with dignity, compassion and humor. Chef Lew organized a special 90th birthday tea party for mom. Karen, a wonderful nurse in Meadowbrook, called me as soon as she noticed that my mom was beginning to decline. Mikka, a CNA with the heart of an angel, made my mom feel loved and valued until the end.
