If you're looking into this facility, I strongly recommend asking around and speaking with families who’ve had direct experience. In our case, we encountered disturbing and persistent issues with cleanliness, staff attentiveness, and basic standards of care. Shockingly, just days after my parents moved in, we were told they needed to leave—an action we found deeply upsetting and, frankly, unethical—and that they would only be refunded their deposit if they moved to a facility owned by the same corporation. I've since heard from others that this is a regular occurrence. Additionally, there were repeated moments that left us feeling uncomfortable and concerned for their well-being. We ultimately moved them out to a place where they are happy and cared for. The difference in care between their new facility and Discovery Village Vero Beach is night and day.

My mom has been here for years and igese owners care about nothing other than making money. Rent continue to rise well ahead of inflation. Room frequently have no AC or heat. The entire HVAC system is obsolete. Food is awful. No help for all the elderly at night. If you have options go somewhere else.

Cheap, dirty, don't celebrate holidays with the residents like other facilities, mold, mice, air conditioning issues, maintenance issues, food temperature abuse, inadequate staffing levels, staff paid poorly, residents food budget only $6 per person, per day, people on food stamps are on a similar budget, but these residents pay thousands of dollars a month for a dirty smelly moldy, humid, hot, rat infested building, with staff too busy on their phones to assist and celebrate residents. You can't even substitute extra vegetables in lieu of a starch, or order a simple grilled cheese, but the staff can, because in this building, the staff come first, not the residents.
