When it was determined recently that my mother needed to be admitted to a group home to make her last days comfortable, I chose Dorothy Graham’s Care Home. After talking to Helen Gipson, who runs the home, I knew my mom would be taken care of there. Helen is a wonderful person. The staff including Josh, Sydney and Mariah, we compassionate and caring. Mom’s Hospice nurse, Latrice, once worked with Helen and was wonderful. She cared for my mom as if it was her mother she was helping. And she was also there to help me through the process and answer my questions. I found the home to be clean, welcoming and felt like home. And, the food they prepared smelled wonderful! If you have a family member or friend in need of care, I recommend Dorothy Graham’s Care Home.

I have been in the position of finding an outside assisted care for several relatives in the past. From my first meeting with Helen Gipson of Dorothy Graham Care Home I knew I made the right choice for my friend in need. Steve had several medical issues including cancer, epilepsy and dementia and to say he needed a lot of care that I could not provide would be an understatement. Helen is also a nurse and her home was bright, beautiful, clean and comfortable and her staff was very knowledgeable and caring. They provided round the clock assistance my friend needed that I could not have possibly given him as his caregiver. Making this decision for him was extremely difficult since he was used to living in his own home for many years. Helen and her staff made him feel like family and were very proactive in taking care of Steve and communicating with me how he was all the time. I cannot stress how comfortable I felt having Steve there and how comfortable he felt being there. I highly recommend Dorothy Graham Care Home for anyone looking to find a place for their loved ones, especially when they reach the time when they need care the most.
