The people who run this facility are amazing. Moving a family member in (always stressful) was made as welcoming and compassionate as possible and they led with grace and understanding every step of the way. I was dreading this transition, but I couldn't have asked for better. Residents I talked to used statements like "I love it here" for good reason. I think management and staff at this complex are why, they're just really good people with a passion for care. (Do be aware it is under new management since some of the horrible reviews from years ago, this crew runs a tight and compassionate ship)

I recently had the miserable experience of dealing with this facility by phone and found them to be quite rude, extremely dismissive, and extremely curt. Personally, I would never want to live in this place, I wouldn't put my wife through it. My sister in law's husband has been there for a few years, and due to circumstances beyond her control she currently lives in Texas with her daughter. She has always maintained contact with her husband via daily phone calls, then suddenly he stopped answering. He spoke with her on a landline at the front desk once after that and said his phone was broken and they wouldn't get him a new one. She has contacted the facility by phone twice and was given a different story each time. They refused to even reveal if the man is okay, alive, in medical duress, anything. Then they said he no longer lived there as of two months ago. Then in a second call they told her he has a room there but they can't reveal anything other than that. I found this all hard to believe so I called them as this is his wife of 22 years and they wouldn't discuss anything about Lou and essentially hung -up. on me. They won't even confirm if the man is alive. I have advised his wife to file a missing persons report with the police immediately since that's exactly what the situation calls for. If I can't reach my wife for two months and the people paid to care for her refused to answer any questions and I'm out of State, then you better believe I'm calling the police. His picture is attached, if anyone knows the whereabouts of Louis Kiersky please post a response to this message and I will share it with his wife. She is a Chinese immigrant and her husband Caucasian and this at the least reeks of racism. Writing English is difficult for her thus my intervention.

My wife and I have lived at Maple Leaf Assisted Living for almost two years now. This place has had its ups and downs since we moved here but the current management has made some real changes for the better. There have been improvements in the food and menus and there seems to be enough care staff too (finally!). I must give credit especially to the new executive director (Judy). Unlike the previous one when we bring something to her attention it gets taken care of quickly! It's so nice to have someone who listens, really cares and is able to get results. Also, she seems to be well liked by all the residents and caregivers alike. I hope that the owners appreciate this one. She is exceptional!
