I had an excellent experience at Atlanta Detox Center and truly cannot say enough about the quality of care I received. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and supported. The staff treated everyone with genuine care and respect, which made a difficult process so much easier to go through. The classes and group sessions were extremely beneficial in getting newly sober as well. I want to give a special shout-out to my case manager, Christian. He went above and beyond for me—helping with my FMLA paperwork, answering all of my questions, and always showing patience and understanding throughout the process. Having someone so attentive really made a difference. I also want to recognize the behavioral health techs. They were consistently kind, caring, and helpful towards all clients, and it showed that they truly care about the people they work with. Overall, Atlanta Detox Center made a challenging step in my life feel achievable and supported.

The only good thing about this place is a select few employees and the people I met in recovery. I believe OG has heart and Chrys. They seem to stay away or out of what is horrifically done as far as unethical circumstances go. I had a number of incidents while staying at this facility. Many in which will probably affect this facilities certification and licensing goes. Here it goes as listed below. I had clinical staff mess up my medication and knew of several others medications being doubled or given incorrectly. I just tapered from Xanax completely and had a nurse ask me if I wanted a 2mg Valium because I paid for it. I trusted the staff so I took it, and it threw me back into a horrible withdrawal and hives. Their protocol is to enter every medication and this was not done by the nurse or approved by the doctor. I know because the next morning Nurse Jean told me it wasn’t ever put in. The doctor then covered it up and said it was approved. This is a huge medication error. The doctor also put in my records I had passive SI which is not true. I asked Christian who just became my case manager (he did not get enough training per his words) and he told me don’t worry about it. Christian also divulged it was completely illegal for the facility to drive or fly people out and bribe them. And that is true. I had a UTI for 3 days without any antibiotics due to them being understaffed. I now think I have medical issues from. During renovations a sharp pair of scissors which a BHT took a photo of was lying on my bed. Which is a safety hazard and prob worse. Everything is done with complete negligence. I never got my STD approved and I am out of there with a completion. I only stated I was staying 14 days. In which they try to get you to complete 30 or longer. Well because of money. That goes without saying due to the bribery going on. Christian still needs to get this STD covered and done or this will be a huge issue. During renovations our halls were made coed. HIPPA violations. I was taken to the hospital for the UTI and I came back with an IV still in my ARM which BHT Joe and another nurse took a photo of. BIG NO NO there. Terrance my therapist at the time knew everything. I am still going through withdrawals and having to doctor myself. I already let the executive director know I will be filing a lawsuit as well. I have reported everything and will continue to do so even if it means each individual employee is sued. Tiffany one of the Therapists said they are spread so thin there. She doesn’t agree with how the facility does things. Take this as a formal complaint. The girl BHTs and Keith honestly should prob run the place. It would probably be more ethical. I’m honestly disgusted and traumatized by my stay there. Sam the executive director knew of everything as well and Sam you should do better. Make sure to get my short term fixed please. Due to the clinical staff and medication mishaps I couldn’t or didn’t receive the quality of care to even pay for the stay. Others are in there and can confirm a lot of these unethical situations. You cannot chase after people who want to leave nor can you essentially manipulate people. To the workers there, it is not okay to be taught to comply with stuff like this. To wear a beacon and make sure people don’t run away. That is not legal and they are lying to you if they say it is okay. I would get out of there as fast as you can. For those employees like Kristina or higher ups who are worried about filling beds and making money I would try and fix as much as you can. This facility does not have what is advertised at all. No sound baths, not enough staff, a sauna in a tv room so no privacy, no routine exercise program, they say no mind altering substances, however everyone is sucking on a vape or nicotine and that is mood altering. I don’t care what anyone says. It’s a fact. I do not recommend going to this facility. It’s dangerous and needs to be shut down until a full staff investigation is done.

This place is a nice place there are some staff that go beyond your expectations.the management is terrible they will lie to your family and friends. Just so your family will get mad at you.if you don’t go to all the groups they will make sure you can’t call your family. They tell you are going to leave the next day and management say oh they made a mistake you don’t leave till next week. This is so they can charger your insurance more money after your treatment is supposed to be finished. They will let you leave at 12:01 at night just because they wanna charge your insurance for another day. The light in my room did not work and I had to put a lamp in my bathroom to use the bathroom the hole stay. Samantha the director will lie straight to your face.they order food the truck gets their and two days later their is no food to eat at night.they say they have a chief he works three day out the week. I could go on and on this place needs to be under new management and the government needs to look at what goes on in this building.
