I wouldn’t send someone I loathe to this facility. From check-in to checkout, it was the worst healthcare experience I’ve ever had. I was discharged from hospital after a hip replacement and despite them telling me on the phone they were prepared to admit me, they absolutely were not. The room was not prepared and dirty—I mean, actual dirt, grit, grime. No one cleaned the bathroom in 3 weeks. Initially I was not supposed to get out of bed unattended, not supposed to bend at the waist, but was forced to when no staff answered the call for help. My first walk to the bathroom I encountered cockroaches. It took 18 hours to get pain medication, and for the 3 weeks I was there, whether I got ANY of my medication depended on the attitude of the nurse who handed it out. There were records of me receiving meds I never got. They lost my clothes in the laundry. For 5 stinking days. I was allowed 2 showers in 3 weeks. In PT, a therapist would give an exercise and not even monitor what I was doing because she was too busy gabbing with her coworkers. Outside technicians come in to take x-rays and blood. Every single one of them asked, “Why are you HERE?” What are YOU doing here? That was alarming. Food was horrendous. The spaghetti sauce in which I found 4 vertebrae from what I hope was a chicken is memorable. Most staff is not professional, although thankfully, a handful were. Virtually NO ONE had their —— together. I’ve never seen anything like it. As I said, wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy.
