I’ve had the pleasure of visiting HarborChase of Branford multiple times as a guest, and each experience has been consistently outstanding. The level of service and leadership is exceptional, led by Executive Director Mitchell Shakun and Director of Sales Lewis Cohen. The residents are clearly happy, engaged, and exceptionally well cared for. The community itself is not only beautiful and welcoming, but the food is always fantastic—truly a standout! I would highly recommend HarborChase of Branford to anyone looking for a warm, well-run senior living community.

Harbor Chase of Branford is a generally decent looking facility with a secluded feel to it as it's tucked away among tree's set back from other homes around. The resident's for the most are pleasant. The care is generally good mainly due to the dedicated CNA's that work very hard despite challenging conditions unfortunately they work very understaffed which is ignored by the higher ups. The turnover rates are high due to the toxic work environment. The current DON and ADON lack empathy which is surprising considering there role. The "Executive Director" also lacks empathy and never takes the time to engage with resident's or there families. He doesn't communicate any changes that will be taking place within the facility he relies on the employees to relay messages. He's a very unapproachable person and any employee concerns are ignored. I have never heard any positive feedback about him from resident's or employees. Harbor Chase of Branford has gone way down hill since this new management has been brought in.Unfortunately they create a stressful toxic work environment where it feels your walking on eggshells. This is not a place for long term growth but rather a temporary position to supplement income.

My Mom moved into the Cove 2 weeks ago, and the nurses have been absolutely wonderful, kind, caring, attentive and informative with our family concerns and needs. Evelyn and Harold especially have been absolutely the best going above and beyond with my mom and caring for her and making her feel comfortable. The CNA’s have are also wonderful with my mom trying to make very comfortable the best they can. Stacy and Wayne run the activities with passion and fun truly coming from the heart. Lewis, I can’t say enough about Lewis who showed us Harbor Chase, who helped us get through the process, and find what was very best for Mom. He has been the rock of this process for my family and we can’t thank him enough for helping us all through this transition. Thank you all for what you do everyday, Harbor Chase is lucky to have you all and so are we❤️Donna and Patti and family
