In the intensive care unit (ICU), it is expected that the highest standards of care should be maintained. However, the communication between nurses, doctors, and patients is often inadequate and subpar. The time it takes to respond to a bed change, even after pressing the nurse button, can be excessive, resulting in patients resting in their own waste. This practice contributes to the development of infections. Since no one came to assist my wife and me, we decided to change my son by ourselves. We completed the task to the best of our abilities, but during the doctor’s rounds, I informed them that we had not received any consultation about my son’s surgery, which had taken place 11 hours prior. Their response was that they would inform us. In any profession, this is unacceptable behavior. I genuinely appreciate the doctors who upheld their oath of helping patients. It is unfortunate that nurses and doctors do not exhibit the same bedside manner and believe that their work is merely a job rather than a career dedicated to improving the lives of their patients.

By far the laziest assistance I’ve ever received for my children. I wanted to give a 1 star but if it weren’t for Puja(I think that’s her name), I would’ve definitely left 1 star. Puja was soooo kind and gave great hospitality. But my assigned nurse!!!! Yeah no! My assigned nurse looked damn near dead and gave the barest minimum effort, the other nurse was sweet, but condescending. The sleepy nurse was sent in to decongest my son and she didn’t even bother washing her hands first before putting on gloves, then when she used the succulent machine, she didn’t even use saline. She was just expecting for mucus to come out of my son’s nose when I CLEARLY told them the mucus was in his throat. My son has been decongested before at another hospital and they did a SUPERB job. I asked the other nurse if someone could come back in and do it again, but use saline with it, and she said she would have to ask the respiratory doctor…..JUST TO BRING THE SLEEP NURSE BACK IN TO HAND ME MY DISCHARGE PAPERS. I was there from 9/10pm to 3am just for my 7 month old son to receive some Tylenol. I feel like they were treating me like I was ignorant. Yet, they were nice. So I’ll give them that. But I just felt ignored man. That crap is so annoying as a parent. Because we do our best to advocate for our kids, but some of these nurses just don’t LISTEN! They’re just trying to hurry and get you in and out.
