Highgate at Billings

My mother has been at Highgate for a few years now. She started on the more active side and has progressed to memory care. All of the staff and caregivers and care partners are so kind to her. They work with each person's personalities and disabilities. We are very grateful to all of them and know that our mom is safe and well cared for.

No matter what your reasons are for moving to a senior living facility, it is a big decision. A few years ago, I never imagined that I would need to move from my home to a senior living facility. I just recently developed a terminal disease that forced me to retire and move into a senior living facility. I decided that since I had to move, I needed a facility to help me meet my needs at every stage of my disability. Plus, I had to be near the hospital to receive treatment for my disability. I wanted a place where I could participate in different activities during the day, a variety of meal selections, plus able to meet my special dietary needs, that could provide transportation to my doctor appointments, an eye appealing one bedroom room, and positive staff members that I would be interacting with daily. After viewing several senior living facilities, I found everything I wanted and needed in Highgate Senior Living Facility. The staff make you always feel welcomed, cared about, and safe. From the first day, I called speaking to the front desk receptionist. Who set up my meeting with Noel that day. Noel met with my parents and I that same day, giving us a personable tour and sharing her knowledge about the senior living industry. She wasn’t pushy or made you feel pressured during the whole process of showing what Highgate has to offer. We were very impressed with the caring professionalism, transparency, and honesty that everyone displayed during our tour. It was also wonderful to see people from the facility participating in the activities that Highgate offered. I was really happy to find that Highgate was really pet friendly. What do I mean by being really pet friendly? If I’m sick, they’ll even walk your pet for you. Many places said if at any time you can’t care for your pet. Your family would have to come and get the pet. Creating a problem for me because my family lives far away from me. Signing, moving in process was very smooth, and if we had any questions, Noel and Highgate staff members were willing to offer or help find you an answer. I hope my input helps you in your search for your Senior Living Facility. Don’t just take my word for how Highgate meets and works for me. Set up a tour, I know that you won’t be sorry. While she has only been there a short while, Mom has made a successful transition to the Assisted Program at Highgate Senior Living. From the beginning, the staff has been friendly, courteous, and sensitive to our specific needs. Mom has a restricted diet, but has crowed about the meals she has had at Highgate. She is beginning to integrate into the social activities there, ones she has mostly lost in recent years. We look forward to her becoming even more integrated into this community and thriving in her new environment.
