My mother has just been placed there 2 days ago. She is not given her medications she has been on for years, including life needing insulin. Her blood sugar is at 500 and they refuse to do anything for her. She could have a stroke. She is left sitting in her own waste products for hours. Even when they are told she needs changing. We came in to see her this morning covered in dried vomit all over her. This place is paid to CARE for our loved one not abuse her!

When we arrived to visit our loved one, we were devastated to see that he was not being fed, nor did he have an IV in place. I asked the staff why he wasn’t receiving IV fluids and was told that in hospice care, patients typically do not receive them. However, we requested mashed potatoes and gravy, and he was able to eat some of it. He also drank a good amount of water, had some root beer, and ate a few bites of a Twinkie — showing clear signs that he could still eat and drink. This made us question why food and hydration were not being offered to him regularly. I even asked the staff if they were starving their patients to death. It was extremely upsetting to see how much weight he had lost in just a few days. We were also alarmed by the physical state of his body. His arm was visibly swollen, black and blue, and his shoulder appeared as though it may have been broken. I had asked about it and was told he arrived that way from Bristol Hospice. This was heartbreaking and very difficult to witness. Overall, we left feeling disappointed, hurt, and deeply concerned about the lack of care he was receiving. Three of the nurses were wonderful, especially Irene. A huge problem is nobody answers phone. Nor did they return voicemail messages. Twice someone answered and hung up on me. When he passed they asked me where his clothes were at? I told them I had not seen them. His clothes and items were missing.
