Every time I walk into my mothers room, which is once a week, they never come and clean, the floor has not been sweeper since I did it last time, 7 days, this place is a one star for cleanliness…. Poor very poor….

If like me you have a family member who is about to be admitted here and you are nervous looking at the mixed reviews, read this one. The staff was absolutely fantastic to my mom. If she pressed a call light, they were there almost immediately, made sure she was safe, laughed with her, genuinely seemed to care and really made it their goal too to help her be home safely. The building is completely renovated, smells clean, is clean and is bright and welcoming. A frustration point for us was that she was released far too early and it’s completely unsafe for her being home alone. My frustration is not at all with Hillcrest however. Medicare is a joke and does not care about the people on it. The social worker at hillcrest walked us through all appeal options and had her back and advocated for her as much as was in her power. Again showing us how much they care, even when going up against completely broken system. I cannot remember her name but THANK YOU. You were a light in a very awful moment. Your passion for the work that you do was so refreshing. I genuinely wish my mom was still admitted here and I knew she was safe. The staff is amazing. If my mom is ever in the situation where she needs help again I will push for this to be the place. Rest easy reading the other reviews as this was before they completely changed management. Thank you, Hillcrest for letting us breathe knowing our family member was safe while she was in your care and for the extended home physical therapy.

I found my time at Hillcrest Millard very beneficial to regaining my independence. The staff was professional attentive to my calls and physical therapy and occupational therapy helped me safely do the things I needed to do to go home. The food served was alright with options available if didn’t care for featured meals. It was my first choice to come to for care.

Value Consideration
Given the reported issues with cleanliness, staff responsiveness, and facility upkeep, the value proposition appears mixed. While therapy services are generally praised, families question whether the quality of care and environment justify the costs, especially considering reports of outdated beds and insufficient housekeeping.
