About Holy Family Home
Holy Family Home brings together a rich history of caring for the elderly poor with a newly reimagined campus in Southwest Philadelphia’s Kingsessing neighborhood[1][2]. The community, run by the Little Sisters of the Poor, has transformed its large, aging facility into a smaller, more personal environment with 37 independent living apartments, 18 private care suites, a renovated chapel, and landscaped gardens—all designed to foster dignity, wellness, and a true sense of home[2]. Residents find bright, accessible spaces, daily activities, and a staff known for patience and love. The campus is steps away from essential services and major medical centers, offering both comfort and convenience.
Our Care Approach
Holy Family Home emphasizes a hands-on, familial approach to care, with staff assisting residents in daily activities and fostering a close-knit community. The recent campus redesign reflects a commitment to dignity, wellness, and aging in place, aligning with the founding mission of the Little Sisters of the Poor[2][4].

Our singing group, Notre Dame Players gave a performance for the sisters and residents. The new building is beautiful. New apartments will be done next year I think! It was spotless and the piano was perfectly tuned. The residents are well cared for!
