Homestead Of Eudora

My father Gary Thomas lived at Homestead of Eudora KS, on the Assisted Living side for about 9 months beginning in 2019, before it was decided he needed more care & he had Alzheimer’s. So he was put on memory care side & received wonderful care & treatment! I was very happy with his care. The staff was on top of everything, was caring, & compassionate with him & all the residents. They provided individual quality time with each of the residents, & made them feel like this place was the residents’ home! My father died there in dignity on hospice Dec 2024 & every effort was given to make those last days, peaceful for my father. They were so attentive in his last days & hours! Several staff members came to his Celebration of Life. My dad loved all the staff & trusted them. I would put another family member there if I needed to. My dad loved the weekly music hour & always looked forward to it! Thank you to all the staff who doted on my father!! Teresa Quintero

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! I should have known quickly when my Mother tried to leave shortly after I got her settled into her new surroundings. Instead of consulting with me, they immediately moved her into their so called Memory Care seclusion area. My Mother was an extremely social individual and nothing against the individuals that resided there, she was no longer able to communicate with anyone except the sorely under staffed employees. I would bring items for her and they were constantly being stolen! My Mother fell and broke her wrist and I was not notified; I found out after going to see her. Eventually my Mother's health deteriorated and she had gotten so ill she had to be hospitalized, dying shortly after being admitted.
