I REALLY WAS A RESIDENT AT HUNTER WOODS FOR A YEAR AND ALTHOUGH THE STAFF WAS STRUGGLING AND UNDER ACCOMPLISHED I SHINED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES I REALLY MADE IT THROUGH ALTHOUGH THE ENTIRE STAFF SAID NICE THINGS TO ABOUT MEI I REALLY KNEW THAT IT WAS A BUNCH OF LOYALTY BULLSHIT THEY WERE REALLY SMILING AND HEATING UP MY COFFEE THEY REALLY COMPLAINED ABOUT IT AFTER THEY LEFT MY ROOM I KNEW IT BECAUSE PEOPLE WERE TELLING ME SO I THANK MY FRIENDS AND MY BEAUTIFUL FAMILY THEY COMPLAINED ABOUT EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING SO THEY KNEW I WAS REALLY SCARED OF MY SAFETY AND SCARED FOR ME AND MY SANITY SO IF FRIEND OUR FAMILY SEE THIS POST PLEASE PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO LISTEN TO THEIR LOVE ONES AND PLEASE REALLY GET READY AND PLEASE PREPARE YOUR FAMILIES ESCAPE YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY

All the ladies there were extremely helpful,understanding, and compassionate...I wasnt sure what to expect when my uncle first arrived at a different facility. Very comforting during his last days...Thank you so much especially Candace and Sharon

I regret to say that I cannot recommend Hunter Woods based on my family's experience. While there were a few employees who were truly wonderful and went above and beyond in their care, the vast majority of the staff exhibited rudeness and unprofessionalism that overshadowed these positive interactions. One of the most concerning issues was the apparent lack of consistency among the staff. It seemed like there was a revolving door of employees, which made it difficult to establish trust and rapport. This inconsistency extended to the social worker, who was not available during traditional hours for weeks. It was challenging to get in touch with her, and responses to emails were frustratingly nonexistent. She would acknowledge receiving them, but would never respond or call. There was no proper discharge for the family member and there was no assistance from the facility to set up outside care (home health, OT, PT and so on). Additionally, I found the business office's approach to communication to be alarming. There were instances where the family members was threatened with eviction due to the facility's failure to complete the necessary paperwork for insurance purposes, which felt unprofessional and added unnecessary stress during an already challenging time. Further compounding these issues, residents using illegal drugs and consuming alcohol on the premises. When we brought these concerns and the evidence to the management's attention, their response was troubling: they stated that if they don’t see it, they can’t do anything about it. This lack of proactive management raises serious concerns about the safety and well-being of the residents. Moreover, outside providers who were involved in the care of my family member faced significant hurdles in reaching the medical staff at the facility. There was a lack of timely communication, particularly regarding critical updates like weekly blood reports that were supposed to be part of the discharge plan from the hospital. In summary, while I appreciate the efforts of a few dedicated staff members, the overall experience was disappointing and concerning. I genuinely hope they can address these issues for the sake of future residents and their families.
