Receptionist was terribly unfriendly and unwelcoming to me.

Lakeview was a wonderful experience when I visited for my dad. The admission director Ms.Talia was very compassionate and expressed sincere empathy as she explained indeptly the various processes throughout the facility. When the time comes and we're prepared to find a residence for my dad, rest assured, Lakeview rehabilitation will be at the top of our list.

If I could rate no stars I would. This place is absolutely horrible. My grandfather was at this facility for a week and a half. Within that time, they abused him mentally and verbally. He is on oxygen and a cpap machine at night. They went three days without putting on the cpap machine. Their nurse saying she checked on him and his roommate, but she didn’t put the cpap machine on? He facetimes us all hours for us to see what is going on. There is no excuse why his cpap was not put on if she entered the room. They tried to give him food he was allergic to and then tried to take the food off the plate but still gave him the food it cross contaminated with WHILE I WAS THERE, I had to tell them absolutely not he could die. They then never brought him anything to eat or drink at all for lunch. They told him his BMI was to much so he couldn’t eat much and gave him a tiny amount of food. He lost 13 POUNDS IN 10 DAYS FROM NOT HAVING ACCES TO PROPER FOOD. Refusing him to stand or walk even though he was sent there to get help walking because he can stand and walk with a walker, but needs help to get back to doing it consistently. They told us he was now a hoyer and they would never allow him to walk in their facility again. They were refusing him water because he had a water restriction, but legally you cannot refuse him water. You can inform him of the restriction, but if he tells you he doesn’t care, you must give him the water. The DON literally told my mom if we approved him to have water, not to be mad at her if we found him dead in his bed. Their staff is extremely disrespectful. One staff member told him he was the worst patient she ever had and put a diaper on him without his consent and humiliated him. Their admission coordinator lied through her teeth about every single thing just to get us to agree to send him there and then was never heard from again. They refused to shower him for 10 DAYS. No access to activities. Took 5 hours to get an ambulance to leave. We called 911 3 times, and no one came to help us. My grandfather was threatening to rip off his oxygen and walk out (which he could die from) because he was scared to be there. During this entire time the staff were all making fun of him and told us they would not allow us to use a portable oxygen tank to transport him ourselves. Even though the police came and could have brought the tank back. Now that he is removed safely from the facility the DON, Doctor, and admission coordinator have all been trying to persuade us to bring him back, even though we have asked for no further contact. During these calls they are questioning if we reported abuse or neglect to the state elderly protection agency. We had to threaten them with calling the police to get them to stop contacting us. I would never send anyone here if I wanted my family member to survive.
