Terrifying Experience – Avoid at All Costs Laurellwood Care Center is not a safe place for anyone’s loved one. I honestly dislike writing bad reviews and I don't do it often, but this was so glaring I feel that I have to. From the moment we walked in, the facility felt dirty, rundown, and frankly scary. The staff turnover is constant — it seemed like a different crew almost every night, and no one knew what was going on. The list of ridiculous things that occurred is too long to list, but the most glaring issue is her near-death experience: My mother-in-law nearly died while in their care. She became septic, and instead of recognizing the signs, staff left her in a dangerously incoherent state. We happened to arrive to check on her, and we began to Google symptoms ourselves to figure out what was wrong. If WE hadn’t insisted that an ambulance be called hen we did, she would not be alive today. I would not trust them with your family member’s health or well-being.

This place is horrible!! My mother has been in and out of rehab/nursing care centers for the past 3yrs and this is by far the worst!!! Refused to call 911 for her and when I came to get her out of there and take her to the er she had been sitting in wet clothes all night, All you can smell entering this place is the overwhelming smell of urine.

I had a short but very positive experience with a loved one staying at Laurellwood Care Center. I would like to recognize the staff that works here. The staff is extremely professional, respectful, and most importantly-caring. I communicated specially with Linda (I believe front desk?) and their administrator, Miki. I would like to recognize Miki for her care, her attention to detail, and her professionalism. Would recommend to others, just because the staff is so exceptional. Thank you to this team.
