From the very beginning—starting with our tour of Life Care Center—we felt reassured. The facility was clean, welcoming, and free from the odors we so often feared in such settings. The staff greeted us warmly and treated our father with genuine respect, compassion, and love throughout his entire stay, from admission to discharge. What impressed us most was how attentive and responsive everyone was to our dad’s needs. The culture of care in this facility is truly remarkable—one of dignity, kindness, and professionalism. We are deeply thankful for the exceptional care our father received, and without hesitation, we would recommend Life Care Center to others seeking a place where their loved ones will be treated like family.

Life Care Center of Farmington is staffed by qualified people whose goal is to make the move from family home to care home as seamless and stress free as possible. I could spend a day writing about all the special people at this very special place. From the cheerful folks at reception to the dedicated nurses, CNAs, and other attendants, it's clear that the people here love what they do and care deeply for the residents entrusted to them. Today I'd like to give a shout out to one employee in particular - Mary Medina, the Business Office Manager and Medicaid Navigator Extraordinaire! I never thought I'd have to put my mom in "a home". But when her health challenges became too much for me to manage, it became clear that it was in her best interests - and mine - for her to move to a long term care facility where she could receive the kind of specialized medical care she needs. It's a scary transition for everyone, not to mention expensive. If you don't have long term health care insurance, if finances are tight, and your back's against a wall, it can be downright terrifying. And what happens to your loved one when you run out of money and your only option is Medicaid? How do you navigate the system? What forms do you fill out? Deadlines, case workers, required documents, phone calls, emails, follow-ups... trying to navigate the American healthcare system is daunting at best. Until you meet Mary Medina and you realize almost instantly that you're in good hands. She has an aura of professionalism and confidence that is immediately apparent when you talk to her. She ensures that all the proper forms are filed in a timely manner with all documentation included. One of her standout qualities (of which there are many) is her communication skills. She kept me updated about any progress and let me know well in advance of any deadlines what, exactly, would be required of me as power of attorney. She acted as a liaison between my mom, myself, the state of New Mexico and the insurance companies. It's so much more than just proficiency at her job, though. Mary really CARES. I have no doubt that the effort she put forth on my mom's behalf is no less than what she would do for her own mother. And she made it clear that she cared about my well-being, too. It's like she treats everyone she comes across like her own family. I'm not sure I could've made it through the past few months and retained my sanity were it not for Mary's gracious and loving assistance. My mom is now safe, happy, well-cared for and fully covered by Medicaid. As for me, an enormous weight has been lifted from my shoulders and I am forever grateful. Mary is truly a godsend.

I have had a good experience here most everybody has been super kind and helpful. just met the doctor and he was very helpful and a wealth of information for me. I especially want to thank a nurse named Mariah she has been super super helpful and gone above and beyond to care for my Wound and gather information for me as a newly diagnosed diabetic. Really can’t put into words how kind and helpful she has been but she has treated me like her own father. And thanks to Larissa and Tequila and Shirley also.
