Lighthouse Pointe at Chapel Harbor is a lovely facility. The staff are friendly and helpful with ONE HUGE EXCEPTION. Since being taken over by Oakdale Senior Alliance, the food is disgraceful!! (Previously, this was a hospital based facility and the food was very good.)Since getting Metz Culinary as the food supplier, the food has continued to deteriorate. Portions have been cut, they often run out of specified entrees, and the texture of the meats are difficult for residents to chew even with good teeth. The servers fuss about assignments in front of residents!! What kind of company is Metz??? And WHY isn’t Oakdale supervising that contract? This situation has to change. We are not happy. Seniors in a community as expensive as this deserve and should expect good food. It is vital for their health and overall well being!!

While this facility and the staff are very nice, ever since it has not been owned by UPMC, the food has been TERRIBLE!! They CONSISTENTLY RUN OUT OF FOOD despite tiny portions, the food does not match what is stated on the printed monthly menu and the quality and nutritional value of the food is poor. The facility has been promising for MONTHS that this would improve and it has not. I am starting to look for alternative living arrangements for my Mother. It's such a crying shame...
