Many employees are caring and efficient, but I had a terrible experience there. I lived in independent living for almost two years. I was counting on getting on medicaid waiver after paying full price for two years, but they evicted me just short of that time. I made friends with a man in assisted living and I helped him out in many ways. For some unknown reason, some of the aids and nurses spread an untrue rumor that I was after his money... I believe this rumor should have been stopped immediately by Crystal Flaherty LPN....the director of nursing. Most of the care staff and residents knew and could see that I helped him out a lot and that we had a caring relationship. He asked if I would take care of him because his healthcare power of attorney was falling short. I was reviewing a pamphlet about healthcare power of attorneys with him when an aid came charging up to me and grabbed it out of my hands shouting, "Oh no...I'm not going to let you have him sign his money over to you!" The Lodge or someone called the police and they put me in jail. I've never been in trouble before. They have never made this right. In a way, I'm glad I found out how they mishandled this because what if I really needed help or got sick.....I'd be afraid they wouldn't handle it well.

I have been here at the Lodge since 2017. I love it here. I have great coworkers who share the same compassion and drive that I have to show up and do our best every day for our residents. We have such a great group of residents that we care for. They often let me know that they love it here and love the care that they receive. I hear it often from family members that are so grateful they made the decision to move their loved ones here. Knowing that we make a difference keeps me motivated to show up and give it my all for not just the residents in our care but also for the coworkers that I work in tandem with everyday.

Trash!!! The front desk is rude to visitors. I recently visited my loved ones, and witnessed elder abuse! "What's your problem, lady!!??" an employee yelled at a demented resident. Per the health department, there are mice living in the kitchen! My loved ones are paying $4k/mo to live here for what!!!???
