I had heard from a few friends that Pruitt place had good people, that it had staff that genuinely cared. It is exclusively a memory care facility, not a wing of a larger care home. I found that the people who work there want to be working with residents with memory issues. My husband went there and soon after he arrived we realized that his illness was progressing more quickly than we hoped. He needed more help than we originally thought, and I too needed comfort and encouragement. We were both treated with care and kindness, and we sensed a family atmosphere. There is a comfortable routine for meals, activities and hygiene, and the residents are mostly peaceful and enjoy friendships with each other and the staff. Each of the three resident hallways has an outside courtyard area, beautiful and well-maintained. Under the leadership of Jodi and Barbara, a high standard of care is adhered to. These leaders also take time to interact with residents and are willing to help with care when needed.

I’m blessed to have both of my 89 yr old parents at Madison Heights this month marking 2 years.( the only married couple there) The administrative is amazing and ALWAYS willing to listen and take action. They always have an open door ( literally) greeting you with a warm smile. Jodi, Barbara, Doug and Alicia are team players and put the residents first. Behind the doors the staff have their hands full and I see them in action genuinely caring and taking care of the residents. It’s not always perfect but what is in this world but Madison Heights strives for excellence, always open to suggestions, listening , making improvements and working tirelessly to keep our loved ones safe and cared for. I visit the facility quite frequently and am always so welcomed by all and truly look forward to all the smiles and hugs. Alicia does an exceptional job on activities for the residents and family included events.

I have been going into Madison Heights for many years. The staff and dept heads have always gone above and beyond for the residents. Not only do they keep them entertained and active as possible, but show compassion and patience with each individual needs. Recommend them to anyone looking for a specialized Memory Care Facility.
