I would give less than 1 star if I could . My experience with every person I interacted with at this facility was absolutely horrendous. It was a mix of utter rudeness. and a feeling that we were somehow inconveniencing them by being there. . The social worker was absolutely useless. I asked for resources for my elderly mother with stage 4 cancer. She offered no help whatsoever. She had absolutely zero empathy or interest in helping coordinate my mother’s care and next steps. I figured it out alone in spite of her not because of her. My mother also didn’t receive dinner on several occasions. The food was absolutely disgusting. I weighed her when she was discharged home she was down 20+ pounds. On several occasions I had to do incontinence care during visits because her call lights weren’t answered in a timely fashion.. I found several out and out lies in my mom’s medical records that covered the facilities reason for discharge but just weren’t true. I filed a Medicare appeal with zero help from the facility and won on the first attempt. I’m very familiar with for profit hospitals and how they operate. I knew they weren’t following rules. It looks like profit in this situation trumps patient care and it’s a shame. They only wanted my input about her care when they wanted me to convince my Mom that she was miraculously healed and needed to leave even though it wasn’t in her best interest at the time .my mom knew that and begged them to help her to no avail. She is terminally ill with a multitude of illnesses. They 100% didn’t care one bit.I believe they figured she was a drain on resources considering her cancer. When they thought they would lose money on my Mom’s stay due her insurance. They were quick to send me the bill. They didn’t even wait to discharge her before flooding my email. I wasn’t responsible for the bill since I didn’t check her in to the facility but I did everything within my power to make sure it would be paid by directly working with insurance and filing a winning appeal. This facility caused our family so much stress and pain. All I can say is don’t judge this place by the pretty lobby. Knowing what I know now I wouldn’t let my dog stay here. I will continue to tell anyone who’s like me in the worst time of their life caring for a elderly parent alone to heed my warning and go anywhere but here. I plan to file a official complaint to hopefully save anyone else from experiencing this same situation.

My father-in-law spent the last 10 months of his life here. The facility includes so many of the added fee services that others charge for. The staff is 10+ in the way they cared for him and put up with his button pushing. They were always there to help him and converse with him. The administrators that run the facility are also Rock Stars. They go out of their way to make sure they are safe and well cared for. Choosing Meridian Medows was the best decision we ever made for our Dad.

My mom is there with memory care. I have seen such great positivity and cleanliness but to boot I have seen great staff teamwork and care for the folks in their care. THANK YOU
