Looking for a place, a community in which to live either independently or with assistance? Merrill Gardens in Ft Myers is a place for you or for Mom, Dad, kith and kin. Within two days of our move in, ALL of the servers in the dining room, at the front desk and any of the managers knew us by our first names. The food is good and a lot better than most. In Port Charlotte (Grand Villa) I had few options on the menu which meet my dietary needs as the main course. Options included 3 meat meals or a grilled cheese sandwich. Breakfast is a buffet with loads of options and, their liquid scrambled eggs are prepared in such a way that you would swear they were freshly cracked. The gardens here are my refuge along with the Monach butterfly sanctuary and a pool available 12ish hours a day. Make that call now!

I have an apartment at Merrill Gardens at Barkley Place but have not moved in yet, am in the process of bringing belongs over. Have had a couple of meals there and the food is excellent. I cannot say enough about the staff, they are so helpful and cannot do enough for you. I am sure that when I finally move in at the end of the month I will be extremely happy.

My sister has lived at Merrill Gardens for a few years now, and I couldn’t be happier with the support and care she receives here. It is a smaller community, therefore she knows everyone, and everyone knows her. The staff are all so nice and are always willing to listen and help in any situation. Brian, the, GM has been a wonderful asset to this place and I would not hesitate to tell anyone to check out Merrill Gardens .
