Modena Reserve Bethesda

We can not say enough about the experience we have had at Modena Reserve Bethesda. It is a beautiful building that is well maintained with a lot of light and nice spaces to relax and be outside. The rooms are great, with big windows and spacious bathrooms. But what really makes Modena special are the people who work there and spend time with the residents each day. Everyone we have met is caring, respectful, thoughtful and kind to all of the residents. Our mother moved into assisted living and is now on the memory care floor. Beatrice and Dianna and many others helped us make that transition and their expertise guided us through the process with care and patience. We are very grateful everyday for the entire staff. They know the residents, make them feel at home, talk with them about their families and their day, comfort them, provide activities and wonderful food and give them autonomy as well as loving attention. They are timely and thorough in keeping our family apprised of situations as they arise, such as health care and other individual needs. There is also a good dose of humor mixed in that our mother appreciates! We have learned so much from them about how to support our mother and all the things they do to celebrate the residents, including amazing birthday parties, show what exceptional professionals they are.

When I think of memory care at Modena Reserve Bethesda, the words that come to mind are patience, compassion and respect. The staff is incredibly understanding of and attentive to the diverse physical and emotional needs of all the residents and tends to them with warmth and positivity all while preserving their dignity. Every time I am there, I see how my mom is happily engaged in many activities, residents and staff that she would otherwise not be by her own choice. It is apparent she feels loved and cared for, they really do go above and beyond! When we made the hard decision to move my mom from Assisted Living to Memory Care (both at Modena Reserve Bethesda) we received so much support and helpful strategies to make the transition as smooth and comfortable for my mom as possible. She is much better with the change. Modena Bethesda is thoughtfully designed for safety and security, beautifully decorated and maintained. My family and I are included in and enjoy attending the frequent events, holiday celebrations and happy hours that are truly creative and fun! I highly recommend Modena Reserve Bethesda if you are looking for either Assisted Living or Memory Care!
