I have noticed that there are significant challenges in collaborating with a specific team member during the night shift. Concerns have been raised about her leadership style and communication, which have led to discomfort among the staff. Several colleagues have shared their reasons for wanting to switch shifts, emphasizing the negative impact this situation has had on their work environment. It is disheartening to feel unable to voice concerns and advocate for a respectful workplace. It is essential to foster an environment where all employees can express themselves without fear of reprisal, in line with fundamental human rights principles. Professionalism and respect must be upheld to ensure a positive and productive atmosphere for everyone involved. Additionally, there have been instances of discrimination based on religion, which is against healthcare policy. Unfortunately, it feels as though there is little opportunity to speak up at Morning Star. There was also dishonesty regarding the pay rate; I was offered $17 per hour, but my pay stub showed only $16. Furthermore, the manager has issued threats and has misled employees about qualifications, such as requiring a high school diploma, which is deceptive. I have found the manager to be unprofessional and rude, frequently changing her story and lying about various matters. After I quit, she spoke about me to her mother and fabricated information, something my neighbor confirmed. This behavior is harmful and shows a lack of integrity. I also believe there is a significant difference between discussing residents and addressing the behavior of the staff and management. Confidentiality regarding residents must be respected, while the actions of the staff cannot go unaddressed. In my view, the manager exhibits characteristics that are deeply concerning.

The staff took exceptional care of my sister until she passed away. The facility is small enough that the residents receive personal care and are fed home cooked meals. I observed them preparing pork chops for dinner on an outdoor grill. I was impressed with each and every staff member and the individual care they provided Highly recommended!

Horrible! Just be very careful before you put your loved one in this facility. The first time I visited my mother there it seemed fine the second time I came back and Holly the manager treated me like I was a leper and when I asked her to explain she gave me different reasons which each time I questioned her reasoning she couldn't back it up and she kept changing her story and finally hung up on me saying she'd have to call her supervisor and she'd call me back. Which she never did. So I emailed the facility and just gave a detailed explanation of what happened and I wondered if I could get a response to my questions to which I never got a response. And that is not even to mention the bruises on her eye and her arm and her side within one week of her living there. And that is not even to mention going into the lunchroom and seeing residents with their heads on the table during lunch time and when asked about that the response was he likes to fake it. Yet it was not the same guy each time. And that is not to mention the worse than prison food my mother was shoving around on her plate . Residents were scraping their food onto the table and the floor was dirty and it was awful . I was so grateful when my mother's executor got her out of there without any of my prompting and she is in a much better place today and doing so much better within one week. As I said be very careful before you put your loved one at Morning star.
