Neville Place Assisted Living in Cambridge, MA

Our sister Edna, a strong, independent individual, entered Neville Place Assisted Living reluctantly, in May, 2017. Sadly, for all who loved her, Edna passed away on July 20, in the place that became her home and that she loved dearly. In those years, whenever we communicated with all who have represented this facility, we were treated respectfully and every attempt was made to resolve our concerns and issues. We are especially grateful to Francesca, the Director, Shelley, the nurse, Maya and Sabla at the front desk, Grace, Halliday, AllRich and the other staff. It gives us great consolation to know that Edna spent her last years in this caring community.

My sister Edna was at Neville Place for 8 years. Initially she was reluctant to make that transition from independent-living to assisted living but within a few months she began to see the benefits of living in this energizing and culturally engaging community and she began to thrive. She participated in many of the activities including drumming, chair yoga, sing-alongs and cooking workshops. Neville Place became her second home. She appreciated all the staff that became part of her “extended” family. She passed on July 20th surrounded by a loving and supportive community. Thank you, Neville Place, for the outstanding care you offered my sister and for extending your support to Edna's family when she passed.

Special thanks to the residents Candace and Gary who volunteered to be our HUMAN DUMMIES, wear our ventriloquist face masks and help us sing our “No Bully Zone” song.
