Really did not like the experience I had with this place had a family member in this facility it was a horrible experience all around I'm not going to get into detail with that because it's not my experience to share but as their family member I was completely unpleased getting into my experience with them my first time ever walking into the facility they were irritated to have to open the door for me as you have to buzz in if the door is locked it smelled horrible every time I was in that place by especially horrible this day which was honestly really bad for a first impression they had CNAs sitting in the area right as you walked in being absolutely rude to the residents the ladies behind the desk acted as if they didn't want to be there and absolutely couldn't care less about their professionalism or their job they were rude gave glaring looks rolled their eyes and barely spoke when I asked questions I was answered by very dismissive faculty I can say I did meet the head of EVS she was amazing more than helpful and had the most wonderful attitude but that was the only member of the whole faculty that I found enjoyment in meeting! They need to up their EVS staff and some of the CNA's need a major attitude adjustment

When I was told I was going into a nursing home i thought oh no, dark , stinky and everyone laying around waiting to die...not at Northwood Care Center. ITS bright, always smells nice , people have fun. Lots of activies, gardening , cooking ,bingo ,pizza day , ice cream truck day ,Walmart day , every kind of fun stuff. Very important, CHurch on two days a week . The staff is wonderful always smiling and friendly. Ready to listen or help anytime nite or day , there just like family , you can count on them. Big rooms, with wifi and cable TV. The food is great with lots of options and healthy even snacks. I'll tell you the truth it's like being on a sea cruise on land. I love this place. Gary Thompson
