Overlook Village facility and staff are amazing. My mom lived there for just under a year. The care given to my mother was phenomenal. You can’t put a price on the peace of mind my family had knowing Mom was well taken care of when we couldn’t be there.

We have been so pleased with the care my grandparents have received at Overlook. The rooms are spacious and full of light, the food is appealing and nutritious, there are abundant engaging activities offered, and, most importantly, the staff is knowledgeable, accommodating, and responsive. Becky and her team make this a special, well run place for loved ones to call home.

Not the best place for Memory Care. Many times the residents are just put in front of a TV to watch a show. They lack the mental stimulation and physical activity the residents need. They might do something nice once a week, but it's not a continuous planning of activities for the memory care residents throughout the day and weeks. I always thought it odd to have a list of activities on the dry erase board and they do none of them. They say they do LifeLoop, but they do not keep up with it. They have a lovely Activity Director, but they are mostly for Assisted and Independent. You walk in and see the fun they are having in Assisted Living, and when you walk through the doors in Memory Care, all the residents are in their rooms or in front of the TV. If they do have an activity, it's coloring. They have a beautiful courtyard, but they do not go outside often enough, sadly. Too bad, because it wasn't like this when we first moved in, but this is what it has become. They are falling further behind of what other Memory Care facilities offer for the same price. This is why we moved mom to another place and she is more active and the staff have better training concerning dementia.
