My mother has been at the rehab for almost a year now, at first it was good but has declined considerably, our mother has no teeth or dentures and yet they do not accommodate her nutritionally, they constantly send her potato chips corn hard dried up meat and so on. They pay no attention to her and her needs, night time meds are always late 10 pm and after therefore shes putting herself to bed (she’s 92 and unstable) call lights go unnoticed. I can go on and on, my sister and myself are there everyday to make sure she gets the care she needs.

Poorly run with a total lack of care and empathy. Ironically, the only one who seemed to care about the residents or bring a smile to their face was Robin the Robot. Their therapy staff was solid and professional, but nursing was appallingly bad, uncaring and inattentive to the residents. And on several occasions I witnessed a nurse or CNA going into one of the patient's room and acting put out by being bothered that somebody actually needed assistance. God forbid a resident in skilled nursing might actually need their assistance when they could spend their valuable time elsewhere, like sitting at the nurses station with all the others. My father-in-law lost over 30 pounds in just a few months under their watch and would have been dead had we not gotten him out of there. Disgraceful!

My dad has been here for a week come tomorrow and they haven’t even washed him yet. A nurse told us “I’ve worked 12 hours and haven’t gotten a break” in response to my dad not getting help for hours. My dad would love to work for 12 hours but he can’t even stand by himself and the people who are supposed to care for him were rude and complained. I’m extremely heartbroken that my dad is in need of care and he’s treated so poorly.

Value Consideration
With monthly costs ranging from $2,480 to $5,200, Owen Valley’s pricing is competitive for the Spencer area, especially given the breadth of amenities and specialized care offered.
