Prairie Elder Care is a wonderful place that is unlike any other. If you have visited any other assisted living community and then come to the Farmstead you will immediately notice the differences and the feeling of being at home that the farms envelop you with as soon as you walk through the doors. The care provided by staff is exceptional, and families are consistently impressed by the high level of care provided for their family members.

Prairie Elder Care I am writing to express concerns about the safety and overall care at Prairie Elder Care. During a visit to my mother's nursing home, I unfortunately slipped in urine on 8/31/21, which resulted in a significant hamstring injury. I reported the incident immediately, and since then, I have been dealing with ongoing issues. This experience raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and safety standards at the facility. In addition to these concerns, Prairie Elder Care appears to be severely understaffed. As a result, many patients, including my mother, spend an excessive amount of time watching television with little to no engagement in meaningful activities. While I understand the challenges of staffing in healthcare, the lack of interaction and stimulation is concerning, especially for elderly residents who need more than just passive entertainment. I hope the facility takes steps to address these issues for the safety and well-being of all residents.
