On Thursday evening my son was transported to Redwood health from St. Mary’s Hospital. he was brought there to finish out his antibiotics and to receive physical therapy. The transporter forgot to get his medical papers and had to turn around and go back to the hospital to get them and then he wasn’t happy about going to Oakland and wanted to drop him off at train station, but he proceeded to the home. Once my son arrived there, nobody seem to know what’s going on. It was a lot of chaos nurses snapping at other patients and cursing at them to get back to the room. They told him they didn’t know what was going on with his medication’s and he had to wait till Monday, but the hospital had told my son that the orders were sent ahead of his arrival. he had missed a 24 hour regiment treatment. The facility reeked basically with piss. My son up and left got his way back to the general Hospital, now has a fever and has been admitted to that hospital. I am so livid over this whole fiasco. This place needs to be shut down. I wouldn’t even send my dead cat there!!

Do not send your loved one here! Social Worker is non responsive. Leadership plays games that they didn’t know Drs orders and therefore do not provide PT or OT at the correct intervals. Patients walk in out of your room due to their own cognitions. Management sucks- do not go to this facility!!!!!!!!!

I was there for about 5 days. The staff were all clean and 70% were friendly. The rest were grouchy Korean staff. The food was slop, and I usually LIKE hospital food. Food trays were often left in rooms or hallways overnight. I counted 7 roaches on one sq foot tile. Social worker was nearly impossible to reach. Was there for a fractured spine and various bruises and abrasions. Was told the PT dept was excellent yet they gave me about 5 minutes a day til I complained. They allow patients to smoke cigarettes and weed on a patio right next to the main nurse station and nurses sell cigarettes to patients day and night. Patients bellow insanely from their rooms or hallways for hrs. I'd never wish this place on an enemy. 5 days seemed like 10. Nightmare.
