Shangri La Senior Living

Mom moved to Shangri La from a glitzier facility just a couple of miles away. She was wheel chair bound and unwilling or unable to participate in activities. She has received really good care at Shangri La at a much lower cost. At the previous facility she was sent out for UTIs three times and has had NO hospitalizations from Shangri La. This place gives excellent value if your loved one is not using the enrichment offered at other facilities. PS the food is good too!

My Mother in Law lived there for a year. We could not wait to get her out of there! Besides the broken window in the dead of winter that took a month to fix and the a fecal covered sheet that she was using to wipe herself because they refused to give her TP. (saying she was clogging the toilet) the sheet Was in her room for 2 days..."Because it wasn't laundry day" And then the smoke detector that beeped in her room for over a week with the excuse, "we need to order a part". I'm not an idiot! I will add that in the new facility she has not clogged a toilet and she is loving the activities. Shangri La had no activities during and after Covid where her new home hired extra to accommodate the isolated residents. STAY AWAY ...DO NOT ALLOW YOURLOVED ONES TO LIVE HERE!!

Attention to detail has declined since my mother’s initial move into this facility. Thankfully she continues to be fairly independent, aware of her needs. She still enjoys the activities and social interaction.
