Sharon Care Center Special Care Unit

By far the worst facility to ever place a loved one . I witnessed so many things that state should get to see . They placed me on a block list because i eventually walked out . I couldn’t bare to see residents treated as such. They dehumanize them and treat them like inmates instead of actual residents . They also are very rude to agency staff when it comes to working together . I arrived for a third shift and wasn’t given correct log in to chart care i was providing after a lousy nurse harassed myself and another agency gal on getting charting done . Their resident care coordinator is also very rude . The decision to block list me was incorrect . They were too lazy to hire additional agency to cover the floor and i had to work both ends of the hall . Do not work here if agency . They will run you ragged

This facility was wonderful with my Mom. She was there for short term rehab and we were very happy with response times from the staff and the care she received. I had been very reluctant to have her in any nursing facility, but Sharon Care was great. If either of my parents need care in the future, we would absolutely use them again. Update: Despite never hearing a negative word during my mom's stay about her attitude or motivation the facility has declined to take her back saying she was uncooperative. So they either don't communicate well with the families or refuse return patients to keep their re-admission rates artificially low.

I highly recommend Sharon Care Center for the high caliber care provided to my mother, Marie Powell, during her recent 2+ month stay. A special shout out to Jymmie Reed who not only made my mother feel welcomed and cared for, but also took the time to make sure my husband and I had the assistance we needed to make our way through the labyrinth issues associated with elder care.
