Sherbrooke Village

My husband has been back in the hospital after coming home for 30 minutes he is fighting for his life with septic staph back in his knee and now in his spine. They didn't recognize he had been telling them he is in pain, and thought he wanted his pain pills left there discharged with cdiff, septic staph and fungus!

My uncle had a stay there for rehab after a pacemaker insertion. What was suppose to be an easy rehab turned out to be the end of my uncle. The facility is very attractive but looks can be deceiving. The employees are very lazy and crabby. They pretty much ignored my uncle and his care. Because of the poor knowledge and lack of care he ended up being sent to a hospital for infection and died because of it. I wouldn't send my worse enemy there.

The therapy department here is absolutely amazing. Steve the therapy director goes above and beyond. They've work hard to get my grandma up and moving, and you can tell they truly care about her progress and recovery. Unfortunately, the nursing side of things has been very disappointing. Too often I've seen food left on the table without making sure the patient is sitting up to eat, and there is little effort to get her out of bed. Multiple times when I have came to visit her I will have to go and try to find the staff because they won't answer her call light when she rings it. I honestly think that without the therapy staff, my grandma's mobility and overall well-being would have suffered much more. Overall I'd give therapy 5 stars and nursing 2-3 stars. If you're going there for therapy, you'll be in great hands....but the nursing care really needs improvement.
