My mother was a patient at Silver Hills, who was a fall risk patient, but there were No bedrails on her bed, nor did she have a bed alarm. She had pushed the button for a nurse. No one came, so she tried to go to the restroom. She fell and was sent to UMC via Ambulance. She died from her fall! I've went tried to get her Medical Records over 4 times & I even sent A Certified Letter request per my Atty., but I they still ignore me. I have a right to them. She died Feb. 6, 2025. I'm still trying to get them. If you have a family member that is a fall risk, I wouldn't Not recommend this place. It should be a law that Every Nursing Home should protect their patients that are fall risks.

I was shocked to see the run down condition but I understand they intend to renovate. Been here 3 days. Staff seems to be helpful. Already some meds problem with meds I need . food is good sometimes and not so good other times. Seems it may depend on cook. They have redone part of the facility. Staff waits a longer than acceptable time to answer call button up to 2 to 3 hours. Left over a week ago. They did get me belongings quickly. You should visit and make your decision

This facility needs a lot of work. They need To improve on communication skills . No one talks to each other they say it’s not their job. My mom has been there for nearly 3 months and minimal improvements. Today I find out they are Out of wipes for patients. The call light is on and it takes excessive time to respond. The CNA and PT staff is nice but there is no organization there. The equipment is falling apart. Very sad.
