I used to adore this facility, especially knowing my Grandmum called it home. But ever since the new administrator took over, everything feels different. When I visited my grandma on Sunday, she confided that she misses the previous administrator, who has now moved up to regional ED. The current administrator seems to care only about herself. My grandma even went without a nurse to give her pills yesterday. Curious, I did some digging and found out she came from Eagle Crest, where my sister works in therapy. She was let go there for the same reasons: cutting costs to get a bigger bonus. Three directors, along with nurses and aides, have all quit because of her harsh decisions. Someone needs to remind her that these are elders who deserve compassion and care. Maybe one day, when she is older, she will understand. Until she is gone, I would not recommend sending your loved one here. I am already looking for a better place for my Grandmum.
