Terrible place to have a family member. My mom never gets her medication on time, she asked for help fixing her bed that was broken and was told its not his job. And that she can sleep on the floor.

I flew into town a few weeks ago to see my parents. I was told this community takes the state waiver and would be an option for my parents. I didn’t have a tour scheduled but Kristina the director was nice enough to show me around. Kristina did her best to explain the state wavier process to me. Residents and staffs were very friendly.

I had to take the time to express my experience. I know all too well most people find the time to complain vs giving compliments. I want to shout out the administrator Christina P. In choosing a place for my father I want caring compassionate and understanding staff. I was given a thorough tour of the facility with my father and no stone was left unturned and every question and concern was answered by Christina with grace and poise, I so appreciated her patience. I know facilities are not perfect but when you have a caring and understanding easy to speak with facilitator such as Christine, I know any needs or concerns will be met. I also met other staff along my tour that were equally as friendly and professional, thank you!!! I had a chance to meet some teenagers that work in the kitchen and they were caring like an old soul. Thank you Summit Hill, I found my dad's place.

August is Summer Sun Safety Month! At Summit Hill Senior Living, we love seeing our residents enjoy everything summer has to offer — from gardening and outdoor strolls to relaxing in the fresh air. As we celebrate the season, we’re also raising awareness about the importance of sun safety, especially for older adults. As we age, our skin becomes more sensitive to sun exposure, increasing the risk of conditions like skin cancer, dehydration, and heat exhaustion. To help everyone stay safe and comfortable, we’re sharing a few simple tips: Sun Safety Tips for Seniors: • Avoid direct sun exposure between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when UV rays are strongest • Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher before heading outside • Wear lightweight clothing, a wide-brimmed hat, and UV-protective sunglasses • Stay well-hydrated by drinking water throughout the day • Seek shade during outdoor activities whenever possible • Take regular breaks indoors to cool down and rest Our team at Summit Hill is committed to making every outdoor experience both safe and enjoyable. Let’s make the most of summer—smartly and safely!
