My friend is staying at Sunshine Care Home 2 for a while. He’s been there for more than a year until now. The plan is only to stay there for a few months but because he’s spoiled, he likes the food - he said everything is yummy. He gets what he wants. That’s the reason why he doesn’t want to move to any other place anymore. The good thing is He started as Bed bound to walking with the walker . That’s amazing !!! Everyone there was kind, professional, caring, and was available whenever there was a question or concern. The facility is clean and bright. That’s why it’s called SUNSHINE because they give SUNSHiNE.They respected and treated my friend as if he’s a member of the family. I would highly recommend placing a loved one here anytime. Kudos to Mac and to all her staff !!! Great job!!! How I wish all facilities are like yours. Thank you so much💕

Had my brother in there. False advertising no memory care whatsoever. I would never recommend this place to anybody that I care about.

My wife's Uncle got put in here for dementia. He was in the er for a week first with a social worker then was recommended to this place. Within ! noeven a months time of him being here I personally heard complaints saying he's getting up to early, peeing the bed and won't listen. On his Birthday was the first time I visited. I asked the lady who was there if I could see the backyard as it was a pretty large home on I believe an acre or so. She said because construction was going on in the kitchen we couldn't see the back because equipment was out there, but made sure to tell me there was a patio for the people to sit at as well as a pool but it needed work. Well I went to the front of the house to talk to my wife and walked down the side of the house to the backyard. I was in shock when there was no equipment in the backyard, no seating and it was an overgrown weed yard. The pool was not being worked on, tiles missing and no water. It seems they don't spend anytime outside. After going in my wife said "So what type of mental therapy do you do with my uncle?" The worker said they have playing cards....... and that was all. My wife then said that's all you do for someone with dementia and she turned to her Co worker and stated they are waiting for a Dr to see our uncle before they decide what to do. It just seemed really shady and couldn't get a straight answer. I don't believe this place is good for anyone that can walk and talk, they only want someone that is bed bound. I feel bad for other tenants there as it looks like there is very little care. Even though my uncle is in diapers why are they leaking through the bed? If you have kids you know why they leak. We got him moved into another facility within the first month of being there.....unfortunately he is now wheelchair bound because he can't walk. I believe the state needs to step in and test all patients with meds to make sure they are not being sedated as I think my wife's uncle was. Dementia does not progress that fast from walking and talking when arriving to not walking and eating. I am not happy with any care or answers. If your looking for a babysitter no questions asked this is your place but BEWARE! Looks can be deceiving!
