Two years ago, I was informed by a nurse that Bruno's health had taken a significant turn for the worse due to complications from stage 4 kidney failure and a severe infection in his foot. The nurse suggested visiting him due to the gravity of his condition and potential for rapid decline. However, a subsequent meeting with the nurse practitioner the very next day, painted a far more optimistic picture, directly contradicting the nurse's warnings. Following a discussion with the facility's director regarding the discrepancy, it became clear that communication breakdown had occurred. Sadly, the initial assessment proved correct, and Bruno passed away 17 days later after I requested his transfer to Sacred Heart for higher-level care. And eventually to hospice for his final resting place.

Liked the facility, clean and modern but most of the staff are rude and cold. I don't recommend this place just because of the staff.

If I could, I would give Zero stars! My father was bamboozled into going there. They told him and my mom that they were the only ones who could do his treatments. come to find out, he wasn't getting that treatment at Sunshine. They treated my father poorly to say the least! He didn't get a single meal that we ordered and therefore couldn't eat any of the food. I was there every day from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. They did not give him all of his meds either. I did call and spoke to the caseworker, but she has not gotten back to us with any follow up. The nurses talk down to the clients and treat them like children. They're old, and most of them have memory issues. and that should be kept in mind when you are treating patients. My father has Medicare and a private insurance. They just wanted to keep him there for the money! I'm still waiting for a call.......
