The experience was so bad that I changed all of my doctors from St. Luke’s to the BJC health system. Surrey Place was the worse, and I’m lucky to have survived.

Let me start by saying, there were some good staff members there. However, the terrible ones made the good ones look extremely bad. So my mother was transferred here because her new insurance didn’t cover the place she wanted to go to, this place seemed to be the better out of the places that I visited. Little did I know, it would be about the worst experience my mother has ever had. My mother does not complain and doesn’t speak up because she’s just afraid they would have made it more miserable for her. After being there almost a week, my mother being a diabetic noticed her sugar was high all the time. So she mentioned it to me, so I began to ask questions. They realized they weren’t giving her one of her medications that is required for a diabetic, when they realized it. They blamed it on the hospital, stating that the hospital didn’t give them a list of all her meds. Which is incorrect, they go over those when you leave. So that was a lie to cover up a mistake, then even after that it still remained high. The second mistake they made was, instead of talking with my mother about everything. They began to call me, I’m guessing seeing I would bend to them. They wanted her to switch her doctors, from Mo Bap to St. Luke’s as a convenience to them and their transport team. Plus we also know that if you are a place like that, if you convince patients to switch doctors there is some kick back. After all this, I went and spoke with the second man on the list. He did listen and expressed that he would get it taken care of, however. The only time her sugar really ever saw less then 250+ during the evenings and most days, was the weekend nurse. Whom my mother knows from her endocrinologist office at another facility, after that the experience was a complete disaster. After I called them out on their care for my mother, her care got worse. Maybe the little man in the office got his feelings hurt, but you have just earned yourself a horrible review and probably more. Sad shame, a lot of people entrust their families care in your facility and you blew it for one that’s not even permanent resident. Can’t imagine what you do to permanent residents there, I wish you all the best of luck when everything comes down hill

Does NOT deserve even this one star ! Skilled nursing what BS Transferred my wife here April 25 from St Luke's Hospital for rehabilitation. 3 years ago this facility was just ok. NOW 2025 this place is a tragedy waiting to happen to your loved one. Can you imagine your life depends on timely breathing treatments but the staff are not pulmonary nurses and some have zero idea how to give a breathing treatment. I mean not even know how to connect the O2 hose on the wall !!! Let alone how many liter to drive the treatment. Some working here had to lie like rugs on the app and the director of staffing did nothing to check. I was in awe. Also if you don't keep personal records of meds being given you might or might not get the right meds maybe on time probably not. Her daughter transported her mom from the hospital to surrey for rehab due to the hospital could not transport. HOWEVER to get back to the hospital when it all went bad, it was nearly impossible. "Oh no you cant transport her" So she called an ambulance on herself to get help. That only took 4 hours to get less than a mile or two. Now, I have the highest respect for St Luke's Hospital but I would not send my dog to Surrey. Honestly I have seen better health care at the veterinary ! My advice is to stay away and do some research for a better place. As for you at Surrey reading this. I'm sorry I don't enjoy making these comments but it's all true. Please don't bother with your cut and paste reply with the phone number to call. Been there done that already. To the director of operations. YOU are in command of a huge problem GET HELP !
